The Surrey Guild of Craftsmen's aim is to promote the work of professional craftspeople throughout the county and neighbouring areas.
With over 120 members, the guild embraces a wide selection of decorative and applied arts.
The Guild holds regular exhibitions in galleries in order to raise the publics awareness of the talented designer craftspeople working locally. The Guild also holds shows where demonstrations are a special feature.
In addition 50 members run a co-operative gallery in Milford, Surrey, creating a centre where you are welcome to browse, select or indeed order special pieces. As these craftspeople are selling direct, purchases can be made at reasonable prices
The Guild's aims and objectives are: * To help members achieve a more critical awareness of their own skills. * To provide a showcase to promote their work through regular exhibitions and the newsletter. * To increase their knowledge in the field and promote exchange of ideas and experiences through workshops, talks and slide shows.
