Blue wave moon jar. 15cms high, 14cms wide. The blue and white slip decoration on this stoneware moon jar is inspired by Minoan pottery and the glaze contains local wood ash. Moon jars are a traditional Korean form.

About the maker
Martin Tyler makes wheel-thrown stoneware and porcelain. Inspiration from foreign travel, sketchbooks and photographs is central to his creative process. Decoration makes use of paper and brushwork resist, combing and sprigging and colour is introduced through the use of clay slips. Tableware is all oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
