Caroline Ingram
Discipline: Other media - enamelling
Caroline Ingram’s work involves taking a copper shape or panel and working on it with vitreous enamels. The art involves the fusing of enamel (powdered glass) to metal under high heat. Many of her pieces involve high firing techniques, in a kiln at temperatures of 930 C, to reveal depth of colour, and irridescent shades.
Her work is particularly inspired by nature and the sea.
Caroline specialises in creating unique pieces, finished to a high standard. She welcomes commissions and would be delighted to discuss with you the making of a special piece.
She is a member of Surrey Guild of Craftsmen and the Guild of Enamellers.
