Some members of the Surrey Guild Of Craftsmen are pleased to be taking part in this years Open Studios event, using the Milford Gallery as their venue (no 179). They have a programme of talks and demonstrations that are taking place on the weekends listed.

Hilary Charlesworth was teaching Kirsty tapestry weaving and spinning as part of one of the programmes in this series. They talked also talked about sources of inspiration for Hilary’s handwoven rugs and tapestries.

Queen of all things property, Kirsty Allsopp is back on our screens this April, in a brand new series called ‘Kirsty’s Homemade Home’.

The series follows her as she transforms her dilapidated country cottage in Devon into a beautiful homemade home.

We also watch as she sets about renovating other stately homes, quirky country cottages and awe-inspiring town houses and giving them a set of dream interiors.

Kirsty realises that in the current economic climate, everyone is feeling the pinch. She, herself, loves a bargain, and has been searching out the free stuff and looking for unwanted items in skips!

‘Kirsty’s Homemade Home’, begins Thursday 16th April at 8pm
